THE SCHOOL LIBRARY!!

I just want to say a little thing; we don’t need a school library here at Ngakuru Primary School. Well, I disagree with this statement and here are three reasons why.

In the school library we learn things about Anzac day and lots of other things. In the public library you don’t learn about things like that. Our librarians Mrs Knapman and Mrs O’Boyle teach us skills in the library. These skills help us in other libraries to find books.

In our library, Mrs O’Boyle; one of our librarian picks books and then we get to pick which books to keep. I bet you the public library doesn’t do that.

It wastes money going into town because you end up spending lots on gas. So why don’t we just leave it the way it is? Ngakuru has a great library with lots of books!

That’s all I have today. Maybe you agree with me now that Ngakuru should always have a school library.

We should have less school holidays.

We should have less school holidays. I disagree with this completely because of the reasons below…

One, you need to think of the students (this may include the teachers as well.) Most of the students have had enough by the end of week one, sometimes after the first day. Could you imagine if you were the teacher, had to control students for fifteen weeks, falling asleep during class! Could you handle it? I don’t think so…

Two, the holidays should stay the same! Teachers need time to prepare work for the students. They also need time for themselves. The students need time off school as well as time at school. Ten weeks at school should be fine. They also need time away to go on holiday…

Three, people need time to spend with their families. This could include in the summer going to the beach or camping at a lake, or going to the swimming pools. In the winter you could go to the snow to do some skiing or snowboarding for the day…

This now must go to an end. This is because I have listed my three reasons why I disagree with; we should have less school holidays. They should stay the same!

We don’t need a school library we should just use the one in town. I disagree with this statement.

Firstly… because you can get education every day and there might be a book that you want and it might be out which means that you just wasted a lot of money.

Secondly… because it saves a lot of money, gas costs a lot when you drive into town all the time.

Thirdly... because you can swap books every day its easier because it’s only couple of steps away

In conclusion I think it should stay the same. Do you agree with me?

We should have less school
Holidays

Only a fool would think we should have less school holidays.

Firstly school would get very, very boring.

Secondly we need more time off school to exercise. For example playing on the tramp, riding your bike and running.

Thirdly we need to spend time with family. We need lots of time to play video games like ‘gears of war’. We need to sleep in if we are tired. For example if we went out to a restaurant at night.

We will start a riot if we don’t get lots of holidays!

Therefore I think that we need to have more holidays, I am serious about the riot!
