New class, new term!

We have had such a great week so far.  All new children have settled in really well. The whole class are working well together, we have started peer marking and buddy reading which all children are enjoying! The behaviour has been awesome! I am very impressed with the older children who have taken the responsibility to help the younger ones in class. All our programmes are running smoothly - writing, reading and maths.  The rotations have made the teaching time very effective and worth while! We have made a start on our Inquiry topic - Globalisation.  We have started the tuning in process where we did a brainstorm showing what we know already and what we want to know.  Children will start using Glogster tomorrow - some will be partnered up and the older children will be doing it individually.  For fitness the student leaders have been setting up four rotations that relate to the up and coming events - Cross Country and Jump Rope For Heart.  Room Four students have been watching videos of skipping skills to teach the younger children in fitness time.  Overall it has been good so far:)
